The Signature Tower, which will be 638 meters in height with 111 stories and 5 levels basement, is expected to be the fifth tallest skyscraper in the world by 2020 according to the Council of Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat. Estimated to cost US$2 billion, the tower is located within the Sudirman Central Business District in Jakarta, Indonesia. The project is expected to start in 2013 and completed in 2020. PT. Pondasi Kisocon Raya provided services of soil investigation with 200m exploratory drilling, the deepest ever in the history of geotechnical investigation in Indonesia for building foundation design. The investigation employed the special sampling tools enabling of retrieving high quality undisturbed soil samples from all kinds of soil formations encountered in the investigation and thus providing seamless information throughout the exploratory depths. High pressures and sophisticated laboratory soil tests conducted in Kiso-Jiban laboratories in Singapore and Tokyo, Japan, enable to obtain strength and consolidation characteristics of soil samples taken from great depths.
