Key Services

This project involves the comprehensive soil investigation as well as geotechnical and structural design for the construction of Terminal 5 (T5) at Singapore Changi Airport. Built to tackle future growth in air travel, T5 is designed to handle approximately 50 million passengers annually on its own, boosting the airport’s total capacity from 90 million to around 140 million passengers per year.

As the critical first phase of this mega-infrastructure development, the foundation works span a massive site area of approximately 140 hectares, with deep excavations reaching depths of up to 28 meters.

We have delivered integrated geotechnical services by seamlessly linking site investigation with advanced engineering design:

Soil Investigation

Successfully executed over 100 deep boreholes and approximately 450 Piezocone Penetration Tests (CPTu) to precisely map the complex underground strata.

Engineering & Design

Based on the investigation data, we performed sophisticated ground analysis and designed Earth Retaining and Stabilizing Structures (ERSS), ground improvement schemes, and comprehensive construction sequence plans required for the large-scale deep excavation.

Long-term Technical Support

Providing ongoing technical assistance and consultancy throughout the construction phase.
